Adds empty alt attributes to <img tag lines if alt is missing.

Features:

  • Goes through <img tag lines in the current document and adds empty alt="" attribute if alt is not found.
     
  • Shows the result in the Output window to make it easier to examine the tags before updating the original document.
     
  • Supports lowercase and uppercase tags/attributes.
     
  • Supports mixed-case tags/attributes [new].

Usage:

  • To add alt attributes to <img tags: invoke the plugin. The updated tags will be displayed in the Output window. Select "Edit | Copy Output to Editor" option from the main menu to update the original document, after verifying the tags in the Output window.

Notes:

  • The use of mIxEd-case tag/attribute names is not recommended and not supported.
     
  • As with any automated tool, always examine the updated tags before using the output.

How do I install ksAddAlt?

  • Download the "ksAddAlt" plugin and save it to a folder of your choice (for example, c:\webfiles\). It's not necessary to manually extract the *.zip file, HTML-Kit will expand it to the proper folder during the installation.
     
  •  Install Plugin
    Select "Install | Install Plugin" from HTML-Kit's "Tools" menu. Point to the downloaded *.zip file and click "Open."
     
  • If any additional prompts appear, follow them to complete the installation.

ksAddAlt's icon will appear on the "Objects" tab on HTML-Kit's Actions Bar. It can also be invoked from the "Actions | Objects" sub menu.
