Version:
1.3

Date Updated:
06-Mar-2006

Wraps the selected text at the specified column.

Features:

  • Wraps the selected text at the specified column.

  • Optionally, the wrapped text can be previewed in the Output window before updating the original text.

  • Preferences dialog for specifying the wrap column and the output mode.

  • Three options that can be programmed to invoke custom wrap settings [new, v1.3].

  • Ability to view and invoke pre-set wrap settings using the right-click menu [new, 1.3].

  • Leaves existing blank lines intact [v1.1].

  • "New Line Character Mode" option can be used to change the way lines that are close to each other are merged during wrapping. The "Loose" option treats text that are separated by no more than one consecutive newline as a merged line. The "Strict" option wraps every line separately, regardless of whether there's only one or more than one newline between the text. For more information, refer to the Help Page in the Support section [new].

Usage:

  • To wrap word or lines: select the text and invoke the plugin. The plugin will merge the selected lines and words. Any spaces with multiple space characters will be converted to a single space character. Finally, the merged words and lines will be wrapped at the specified column.

  • To change the wrap column position: invoke the preferences dialog from the plugin drop-down menu and change the column position.

  • To specify how to apply the wrapped text: invoke the preferences dialog from the plugin drop-down menu and set the output mode. The "Split View" option can be used to preview the wrapped text before replacing the selected text. The "Overwrite" option can be used to skip the preview and directly replace the selected text with the wrapped text.

Notes:

  • This plugin was designed for wrapping plain text, not HTML markup or source code.
