Issue: Toolbar icons appear distorted
The information in this document applies to:
 Symptoms
Main menu and/or toolbar button icons are invisible, distorted or appear in a single color.

 Cause
Some video card drivers, Windows common control updates and/or video card acceleration levels may not be compatible with certain graphics modes or encoding methods used by HTML-Kit.

 Solution

HTML-Kit Build 290, HTML-Kit Build 292 and higher users can solve this issue by enabling the "Lower graphics acceleration" option under "Edit | Preferences | Misc." and restarting HTML-Kit. Clearing the plugins cache by selecting "Tools | Install | Clear Plugins Cache" from the main menu may also help.

HTML-Kit Build 288 or lower users can upgrade to the latest build for better results. Following suggestions may also help:

  • Make sure that the latest video card drivers are being used.

  • Lower the level of graphics acceleration under Windows display properties ("Control Panel > Display").

  • Experiment with different color depths.

  • Install the latest Common Control Library.
